Ronda Bullring

One of the oldest bullrings in Spain is the Bullring of Ronda, this is because Ronda is one of the first places in the country where bullfighting began.

In the year 1572 was founded the Real Maestranza de Caballería due to the defense needs of Ronda.

A space in Ronda was dedicated to the practice of equestrian exercises. Also, the bravery of the bulls was used to train the knights. The population was going to watch that spectacle.

The rise of bullfighting led to the construction of the Ronda Bullring. It took six years to build and could be inaugurated in 1785.
