Cartuja of Granada is also known as Monasterio de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción.
It is the Royal Monastery of the Cartuja.
This place was declared Bien de Interés Cultural (Heritage of Cultural Interest) and Monumento Histórico-artístico (Artistic-historical Monument).
Construction of the monastery began in the 16th century and ended in the 19th century.
The building consists of the following parts:
- Sacristy
- Tabernacle
- Church
- Chapels
- Chapter Hall
- Legos Chapel
- St. Peter’s and St. Paul’s Hall
- Refectory
- Small cloister
- Facade
